over the world. It is otherwise known as the Caribbean of the U.S. The city has long been a
popular place to build vacation rentals, and second homes for the increasing amounts of
visitors. Investors from all over the country has seen the great potential that the town has, and
been quick to buy property here.

The lifestyle, with its tropical clime and laidback attitude is a big attraction, but Key West

well as a hot spot for just plain fun – fishing, sailing, kayaking, kite boarding or just relaxing

The residents of the city have made sure that any new buildings and property changes have
not affected the character of their beautiful town. The historic preservation district is overseen
by a town citizen’s board that ensures the architectural integrity of Old Town is preserved.
Many of the Southernmost City’s homes were built in the mid and late 19th Century, lending
a great character and sense of place. The city’s early development, founded on the wrecking
industry of the early and mid 19th century lends an adventurous tone to the town – you almost
expect to see pirates walking the street – and during festivals, you often do!
The city has a lot to offer in the way of real estate, with historic houses, waterfront condos,
and townhouses up for sale … though current market conditions do show recovery and
stability and it does seem to be the time to buy, says local top producer, Rudy Molinet. Learn
more about the quaint architecture of the Southernmost City, its attractions and the vibrant
Key West real estate  market – after all, once you visit, if you’re like most people, you will want to live here,
